Langthwaite Loop - mtbr.com
The surface is loose and not skin friendly if you lose it, plus there is a (shut) gate just when you're getting going. Through the gate and down to a small but awkward stream crossing. Continue on the interesting stony descent to a junction at a bridge. Keep descending, the surface is now near perfect and the descent is very fast. All too soon you reach the road at Surrender Bridge. Straight ahead there is a good track with a footpath sign - it is only a footpath! The bridleway proper starts some 200 m up the road to the left but is not very obvious on the ground (ie invisible).

You can do shorter variations such as a return trip to Kilnsey (11km, 6.5 miles), or to Kettlewell (20km, 12 miles).
