 The Yorkshire Dales isn’t exactly awash with bike shops, thus some of these listed are on the Dales borderline (ish). The mtbdales team have used many of the shops listed over the years and most seem pretty good, especially when they are less busy. All are focused on selling particular brands of bike. A couple of weeks checking out what’s available for your money is time well spent. Our advise, if your shopping for a new bike, the weekends a bad move. Go mid week. A test ride around the block is pretty meaningless compared to a few hours on hard terrain, so if you’re spending a lot of cash, consider hiring one for the weekend. Most shops will refund cost of hire if you decide to buy the bike
